Journey Snacks is a brand owned by Journey Snacks, LLC based out of Lake Ozark, MO. The brand launched in 2017 by a group of friends who wanted to market exceptional beef jerky to the world.

The brand currently sells from their website and a few retail locations around the State of Missouri. They currently only offer this one flavor marked as, "Original", with the only descriptions of, "fully cooked", "simple, delicious, and healthy", "real beef jerky", and "handcrafted in Missouri".

Freedom Jerky - Payload Pepper

Freedom Jerky was founded in November 2017 by creative producer Jonathan Chia and television actor Vincent "Rocco" Vargas, both combat veterans. The two were inspired to create a line of jerky whose sales benefited the team at War Horses for Veterans, a charity that helps wounded service men and women through experiences with horses.

"Healing those who have been in combat is not just an intention, it is our mission,” says Vargas. “We’ve created a great product to serve the best people we know. Freedom Jerky supports and hires veteran families with a focus on our community."

This "Payload Pepper" is described by the company's as having a, "true steakhouse flavor, with just the right balance of cracked pepper".

Katie's Beef Jerky - Carolina Reaper

Katie's Premium Jerky & Snacks is a brand owned by Katie's Snack Foods, LLC based out of Hilliard, OH. It was started in 2014 by Katie Levesque, a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Katie loves jerky so much, that she actually sleeps with it under her pillow (in a plastic bag), and prefers spicy jerky (so that other people won't ask for some). She loves it so much, she left her career as an engineer to launch her own jerky company. Katie's Premium Jerky & Snacks is made in its own USDA inspected facility.

This "Carolina Reaper" variety won an award at the 2017 ZestFest Fiery Food Challenge. It's described as "gluten free", and comes with the warning, "dangerously hot!".

Marketed with the tagline, "Made in the foothills of North Carolina", Altis started Shiner's Stash in 2016 after a successful career as an executive chef, working in professional sports for major league baseball teams, hockey teams, and football teams.

Shiner's Stash uses 100% Prime Beef Eye-Round & Pork Loin, sliced thick and cut against the grain. They make all their jerky themselves, in their own USDA inspected facility, as opposed to contracting it out to a co-packer. They currently have 19 varieties of beef and pork jerky.

This Cheddar & Parm variety is described by company as, "We use sharp Cheddar cheese in combination with grated Parmesan to create this choice cut beef jerky."

Dundalk Dan's Awesome Beef Jerky is a brand of Hard Working Foods, LLC based out of Baltimore, MD. It was started by Dan Dawes in 2013, the CEO of an Internet marketing firm with a passion for meat snacks.

Dundalk Dan's claims their jerky is made in small batches and hand trimmed, and then marinated for 3 days.

This "Habanero" variety is described by the company as being, "hot, but not too hot", and inspired by their fans asking for a jerky a little more spicy than their famous Sriracha Style.

Ria's RoadKill Jerky introduced a new flavor, Canadian Steak. See our reviews of other flavors from Ria's RoadKill Jerky.

Ria's RoadKill Jerky is run by Eden Van, based out of Long Beach, CA, having launched in January 2011. Eden got started in making jerky after receiving compliments on his barbecue recipes. He uses USDA Choice top round from his local meat market. All jerky is dehydrated in a smoker. He currently sells through Facebook and eBay while waiting for his new website to finish.

The company describes this new flavor as being made with, "a generous amount of Canadian inspired rub to make this one of our more savory flavor profile(s)".

Firecreek Jerky - Stix

Firecreek Jerky is a brand launched by Ryan Hansen based out of Jerseyville, IL. He got it off the ground in February 2016.

Hansen has been making "small batch" jerky from his family's meat business for the past three years. He makes jerky using USDA Choice Angus Beef. Since then, he's secured a deal with USDA inspected co-packer and is now relaunching the brand.

According to Firecreek Jerky, these snack sticks are marketed as, "natural" and "handcrafted", going on to add that they're gluten-free, with no added soy or MSG.

Jeff's Famous Jerky officially opened for business in 2010 and is owned and operated by Jeff's Famous Foods, Inc., led by founder Jeff Richards and CFO Mike Aggarwal, out of Mission Viejo, CA. The company offers numerous flavors of jerky, all hormone-free, American beef (or bacon), without added MSG or preservatives.

This Korean Barbecue is stamped, "Sweet & Smoky", and described as having the, "distinctive taste of Korean Barbeque", made with fresh garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, black pepper, and natural smoke.

Love Jerky Company - Ginger

Love Jerky Company is the creation of Helen Geddes and her husband Brian, based out of Oak Park, CA. The brand got started in 2017.

Helen and Brian used to make batches of homemade jerky and give them away to friends and family. Their jerky was a hit, and therefore turned their hobby into a never-ending tradition. Today, Love Jerky gives back to the community by donating a bag of jerky for every bag they sell.

This Ginger variety is one of three varieties the company offers. It doesn't make any specific marketing claims other than the word "Ginger".
