I don't mind a dryer jerky (and I like the moister varieties too, but I usually prefer jerky with a fair bit of resistance) and there was plenty of payoff in flavor on this one. Enough zing to keep me happy throughout. Just a bit on the salty side but, billed as Montreal, I was not surprised. The tangyness sort of balanced the salty.

I also gave the Sweet Heat Jerky Treat (a very nice milder jerky, based on Brimstone Sweet Chili Hot Sauce), Nippy Garlic (very good, also in the milder category - I didn't see Peppered Garlic when I ordered) and Dixie (as you said, good, but not a stand out) varieties at this point.

This was part of my holiday initiative to try new purveyors and I'm quite satisfied with this company. Looking forward to trying their spicier flavors, over the holiday! (I usually go from milder to hotter flavors when sampling a brand.)kleinworthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05647122659299356128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9134710340137592050.post-24980407003510118102013-08-19T06:39:30.486-07:002013-08-19T06:39:30.486-07:00Ingredients: Beef, Soy Sauce, Balsamic Vinegar, Wo...Ingredients: Beef, Soy Sauce, Balsamic Vinegar, Worcestershire Sauce, Liquid Smoke, Montreal Seasoning, Cure #1.
